*So - why do I believe it’s manufactured in Jamaica?
I acquired this LP as one of 14 international Rolling Stones Decca / London LP releases in the 70’s as a trade from someone at Decca, of surplus overseas file copies.
Unplayed releases from Japan, Australia, Argentina, Venezuela, Spain and New Zealand that I’m now auctioning. They’ve all been sitting unplayed on my shelves until now.
All the others have printed evidence of their country of manufacture.
This one merely has written in ballpoint on the shrinkwrap: ‘Jamaica’.
But as it is shrinkwrapped I have not read the label or matrix details.
The sleeve may well have been manufactured in England and shipped to Jamaica, to have local pressings put into them.
(Though some overseas releases, eg my Spanish ‘Through The Past Darkly’, have retained the ‘Printed in England’ line on the LP sleeve, and simply added their own ‘Printed in’ local credit. Paying attention to detail wasn’t always a factory priority.)
And of course it is possible the disc was also manufactured in England and exported. But in that case, why file a copy and mark it as ‘Jamaica’?
Although little documented, there are other Jamaican Rolling Stones pressings in existence, proving that Decca did have a Jamaican licensee in the 60’s.
Here’s a link to proof of two Jamaican 7”s manufactured by Federal Recording Mfg. Co: -

So given the good provenance of the other 13 releases, I have no reason to disbelieve the handwritten evidence.
But if I am wrong – then you are still bidding on an 1970 original, unplayed, sealed, mint pressing of ‘Get Yer Ya-Ya’s Out’ – and that’s ultra-rare in any pressing!
How often do you see any still sealed original release of 41 years age?
I’m not a dealer, just a music obsessive who’s hoarded a large collection that now has to go. Smoke-free, pet-free house. Priced to sell, no reserve.
This LP is the thirteenth of 14 overseas Rolling Stones Decca LP releases I acquired in the 70’s as a trade from someone at Decca. The other final releases from Japan, Venezuela and New Zealand are also on sale now. They’ve all been sitting unplayed on my shelves until now.
Please see my other listings or bookmark me if you want to see the other Stones LPs, or the magazines, memorabilia and large collection of indie label test pressings that I’m auctioning.
