THE ROLLING STONES - 'GOAT'S HEAD SOUP'
This stunning U.K. 1st pressing dates from initial August 1973 release on the Rolling Stones Records label: COC 59101
Matrix numbers: COC 59101 A2 & COC 59101 B1
'ROLLING STONES RECORDS' is machine stamped into each run-out. Housed in an unlaminated UK printed gatefold cover, designed by Ray Lawrence and photographed by David Bailey. Complete with its 'Goat's Head Soup' photo insert, information sheet & original plain white 'Patent No..' die-cut inner-sleeve.
CONDITION:
Labels: EXCELLENT/NEAR MINT
Both labels are in clean condition with just a few light spindle trails around the centre holes.
Vinyl: MINT
Flawless copy with no visible marks.
Sound Quality: MINT
This superb sounding copy has clearly been barely played and the sound quality throughout is clean & totally unworn. In fact, apart from a touch of low-level vinyl background between tracks, there is nothing to fault.
Cover: EXCELLENT
Other than some very minor ring-wear to the top and bottom of the rear sleeve, its in lovely condition. The inside of the gatefold is also in lovely condition, however there is a very small crease towards the left edge. The spine, although slightly worn towards the very top and bottom, is clean & fully worded.
Inner-sleeve : EXCELLENT
Both Inserts: 'Goat's Head Soup' photo insert (EXCELLENT) Other than a slight crease on the top edge, its flawless. Information sheet (MINT).
