Description

For Sale here is the Picture Sleeve and 7" vinyl for the Rolling Stones "Heart of Stone" b/w "What a Shame.  You would be a fool to buy this record.  See below.

General E-Bay Seller Crap.  No reserve price; all minimum bids are my original cost basis unless noted (gotta pay taxes!). Records, when play graded, are graded using my Ruby 3 BMicro Benz cartridge on my Rockport "Sirius" turntable with a Benz Lukashek phono line stage. All records are guaranteed; I'll pay postage both ways if you are not satisfied. Records not paid for within 7 days (absent consentual communication with buyers) will be offered to next highest bidder if I can still bear to part with the particular item that is advertised for sale.

This PS.  This I purchased in 1986 for $300 at a record show in NYC.  The Sleeve is a very nice VG (see scans) with the expected slight ringwear, and some creases.  Please do not buy this for more than $300 because I will have to pay tax.  If you open up the sleeve carefully and hold it up to light, you can see a slight 1/2 inch or so split in the bottom seam.  Otherwise, nice crispy seams, with the flaking and slight discoloring which is evident on my scans.  What I like least, as reflected by the scans, are the creases near certain people's heads.  There is a small brownish blob that is evident on the scan that looks like chocolate or something on at around 11 O'clock near Keither Richard's Head.  I have not tried to remove it from the sleeve.  Also, there is a very small blue ink(?) mark on the back of the PS on the very edge of the PS which you can see on the scan.  Looks like the PS touched an uncapped blue pen and it made a small mark.  Not very noticeable.  Thanks for not buying this!?!

The Vinyl.  The vinyl is a nice VG+; has some paper marks but looks VG (at worst) and plays VG++ (at least).

The Labels.  The labels are fine, there is a small number that reflects the vinyl's juke box use, but no evidence of any dreaded price sticker etc.  These purple/white suckers are hard to come by now.  But as the scan shows, there is an old Juke box sticker (#28) on the Heart of Stones side.  There is no evidence of anyone trying to remove the juke (28) label or any damage on the label.

The Inner Paper Sleeve.  As is evidenced in the attached scan, this record was hit with the price sticker on the original inner sleeve for the 45 rpm and not the PS (fortunately); unfortunately, some idiot (me) wrote their name in red pen in the upper corner of the inner paper sleeve (it was a long night).
