This is a 1st pressing of the Rolling Stones compilation LP High Tide and Green Grass…in MONO!!

This record was originally released on Nov 20th, 1966.  There were two true mono pressings followed by many years of inferior electronically processed stereo versions.  This 1st pressing contains the original mono singles mixes as they were originally heard on 45 and, as y’all know by now, were characterised by grit and punch – the true early Rolling Stones sound.

This record has the turquoise label which has a couple of tears on one side and a name label stuck onto the 2nd.  It also contains the booklet attached to the record.  

This is one of my favourite records and a landmark of ‘60s Rock and Roll. The only reason I’m selling it is because I have two.  Although it’s a compilation, it really works as an album in its own right;  there is something about the track sequencing that really works as a listening experience (all entirely accidental, I’m sure)

I’m hoping it goes to the kind of home where records are played and not stashed away as investments.
