LOVELY & EARLY

The vinyl: VG(+).

It has light marks to both sides, but nothing at all to make it skip or jump. I have just listened to all of her-as I do with all my vinyl I sell and it sounds like the Stones at their raw best!
Only some light and very occasional background noise..Mainly noticed inbetween tracks..these albums, when first pressed, were made to a much higher standard than later pressings, making them able to take more abuse than normal.
The audio is really clear! Even the fade-out at the end of Carol is almost devoid of any background noise-SUPERB!
She is lovely and flat-a real beauty to listen to and hear the start of something which would become huge!
LOVELY AND CLEAR-THE SONGS STILL SOUND DEEP, RICH AND FULL OF CLARITY!

The labels: VG+.
They are clear, with hard to see spindle marks, visible when angled towards the light and looking for them. Barely any hole wear.
NO WRITING!!
Side 1 has the rarer "MONA" track credit for song 3-this was later changed to the more common "I Need You Baby"
UNBOXED DECCA-TRUE-1st PRESS

The Sleeve:
VG(+)
It remains intact and free from rips/tears or writing. There are numerous spidering areas to the laminate. No fading to the front picture-lovely and deep in colour. The back card is a little discoloured, but nothing terrible at all-please see the photo.
McNeill PRINTED COVER.
This is the VERY 1st PRINTING RUN OF THIS ICONIC COVER:
The first cover can be identified by the forth song that has the title “Mona”. The credit for Honest I Do is for Hurran and Calvert and one of the names for crediting Can I Get A Witness was wrongly spelt as well. They even left out the IF in You Can Make It If You Try. This is the full title text with the mistakes bolded.

Side One
ROUTE 66 (Troup)
I JUST WANNA MAKE LOVE TO YOU (Dixon)
HONEST I DO (Hurran, Calvert)
MONA (McDaniels)
NOW I GOT A WITNESS (Like Uncle Gene and Uncle Phil) (Phelge)
LITTLE BY LITTLE (Phelge, Spector)

Side, Two
I’M A KING BEE (Moore)
CAROL (Berry)
TELL ME (You’re Coming Back) (Jagger, Richards)
CAN I GET A WITNESS (E. & B. Holland, Bozier)
YOU CAN MAKE IT YOU TRY (Jarret)
WALKING THE DOG (Thomas)

Inner: EX! ORIGINAL DECCA Plastic lined STARRED inner "Made In Great Britain" & "FOREIGN PATENTS PENDING."
LOVELY AND EARLY
Very nice indeed.
NO WRITING
ALL ORIGINAL
Certainly done her job in keeping the record very well preserved.

All in all this is a VERY EARLY pressing, with 1/1 MOTHERS, 1ST PRESS LABELS AND 1ST PRESS COVER, WITH 1ST PRESS INNER TOO!!
Not to mention it sounds great up loud too...An all original & complete piece of history!
