This was the last record on which Brian Jones appears (he plays no guitar, only congas and autoharp), and the first with new boy Mick Taylor, a youthful veteran of John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers. The record seemed to capture the essence of its time and is consistently rated by various music mags and online press as one of the greatest records of all time.
