Offered for your discerning consideration.  Near Mint Rolling Stones 11 LP Mobile Fidelity Box Set RC - 1 1984.  # 6725 Not original owner but I bought this set sealed / new nearly 17 years ago.  Included in my Birthday Card for my 30th, in 2004, from my Uncle was a lottery scratch that won nothing & note that if I was still interested in purchasing one of his 2 still sealed Stones Mofi boxes he would sell to me as ‘personal favor’ for $750.00.  I remember it took a few weeks to actually seal the deal as I haggled on the price and bust his chops that a dud lottery ticket and offer to buy ‘discounted’ box set wasn’t a legit Bday present.  At any rate I remember we settled on a combination of cash and some new Classic Records Led Zep pressings that were all the rage at the time and are probably equally as valuable today. 
I didn’t even open until a few years later; when the itch to listen to ‘Play with Fire’ off an original master recording got the better of me and I pulled the box out of cedar storage cabinet in finished / climate controlled basement.  Once opened, I listened to said song and side 1 of record probably a few times.  Has literally sat on top shelve of record cabinet as bookend of other large box sets that are either sealed or of similar size / value.  Can’t recall the last time I got on step ladder took down and looked at prior to inspecting, gently dusting off contents with fine micro fiber towel and photographing for listing you are currently viewing.  All original contents are included. I’m at stage in life where when I look at the mass of music memorabilia and records I’ve accumulated it makes me more nervous than satisfied.  This set specifically is essentially a prestige pice, sitting silently on shelf.  Figure the time is now to make available to new owner who can play, inspect as much as they desire to.    
Specifics on Condition.  Outer Box is easily VG++.  Door is fully functional. Which is most commonly / notoriously not the case with even lightly used sets. Hinges and clasp Near Mint.  When closed door sits / aligns slightly lower on clasp side.  Nearly mark free. 

Small scuff line, hard to see, on hinge side lower left if about 6 inches below ‘The’ in The Rolling Stones embossed print.  2 inches long. Top left corner of hinge side of box has tiny spot where paper separated and cardboard is visible below. Can definitely be easily obscured / semi fixed with delicate poke with fine black sharpie or furniture repair marker. I will leave to new owner to determine if necessary.  Even smaller poke through on top front left hinge side of door.  Same corrective action as above would make unnoticeable; but I defer that decision to next owner as well. May have missed a tiny wispy mark here or there.  See the pictures. I feel they do justice confirming Near Mint condition.  I even took liberty of lint brush cleaning felt mat glued to bottom of box.  I didn’t take picture but bottom looks good as new as it should for something that sat in box for 25+ years & same place on a shelf since.

A few defects with inner contents I noticed / am aware off.

12” x 12” book is still housed in the outer blank white protective sleeve.  Front page cover has wave in section on right hand side middle  of lenticular print.  Every copy I’ve seen listed online or in person, in Mint condition or otherwise, has similar or worse effect / appearance.  All other pages are flat and untouched.  Booklet is NM save for cover appearance.  

Geo Disc is unused. Box and device are Near Mint.

Hand Numbered envelope with inserts.  Still sealed.  Has some discoloration primarily on edges. Left hand side seam of envelope just below The in ‘The Rolling Stones’ has tiny half inch separation.  This along with the Geo Disc are the most common missing items from most opened sets offered online.  Not the case here!

Out of Our Heads - outer cover has has half inch bump / indentation on lower spine through area ‘printed in the USA’.  For whatever reason this cover also appears a quarter inch taller than all the others.  Nothing on the inside track of the box is causing it to sit / rest higher. Most likely just how the cover was finished during manufacturing.

Last defect I saw was Between the Buttons cover has separated on the back.  Can most definitely be delicately reglued.  Front top of cover above ‘recording’ has tiny section with minor rub wear. Looks like same color pen as used to write number on envelope was used to conceal wear / damage when set was assembled.  Tiny tear on opposite side above G in ‘Original Master recording’.  All of these are tiny imperfections, but I believe in full disclosure and want to make sure next owner is beyond pleased / satisfied.  

All remaining LP Covers are Near Mint.  In light of 12 photo limit;  I didn’t think taking entire contents out and putting on floor or multiple shoots on table was necessary and more likely would introduce unnecessary debris, hair, etc.. I took out 5 random covers and took picture to give indication of quality of the predominance of the set. Same with LP & label photos.  Random LP pictured as example of the remainder. 

Again; all 11 LPs look new / unplayed, defect free, Near Mint.  White Printed inner sleeves on all LPs are pristine. Of course all LPs are housed in Mofi rice paper audiophile sleeves.  There are random paper specs / sleeve dust on some LPs. Can easily be blown off or removed with fine microfiber towel / cleaning brush.  

Priced to sell.  Similar quality sets are being listed as Brand New, photographed out of box, with $4000 plus prices.  Inferior quality sets with missing contents and non functional door / hinge are within price range of this listing.  I will ship this set beyond securely.  Most likely will ship all records in separate box to avoid shuffling and causing wear & tear during transit. I have multiple heavy duty corrugate shipping boxes in various close proximity to dimensions of box set.  I will triple box if possible.  Bottom line; the utmost care, concern & construction will go into packing a set of this provenance and value.  Once finished packaging I will use the most efficient shipping option that includes insurance for full value of set.  Shipping expense, no matter how much it ultimately costs, is included in purchase price.
