Description
This programme does not list the Rolling Stones but, as one of the photos shows, they definitely performed in the concert.
Wembley Arena, 12th May 1968, they made a surprise appearance at the annual NME Poll-Winners' Concert arranged by the legendary Maurice Kinn. Brian Jones seemed to have recovered from another bout of strain and exhaustion for which he had been hospitalised.
The Stones performed Jumpin' Jack Flash, the single which got them back to basics after 'Satanic Majesties' the previous Christmas. The single was released two weeks later and got to number 1 in the UK and US.
The 20-page programme is in very good condition with only the smallest tear at the bottom left front. The staples are not rusty and all pages are firmly attached. There is no writing of any kind throughout the programme.
This may also appeal to fans of Cliff, Dusty or Quo, all of whom featured on the outstanding bill for this concert.
