Open Red Decca format.
Single laminated front sleeve with a difference! Very early issue with Blind Man text reference, highly sought after in the collectors’ world as these covers were soon to be withdrawn/censored owing to offensive material, so not many issued like this. Normally found with trifold flipbacks on reverse face but this one has only the one vertical flipback along spinal edge. Very rare to locate like this. I believe it to be termed a transitional cover and must assume that it was one of the last before censorship prevailed and eventually, with the censored type sleeve ,this format was used to house the later boxed versions , so extremely rare and certainly hardly any found like this. Saying this, the later issues do not have a flipback on any side ! Not only has this cover got these rare features in format and text, but it is also quite clean . So many are found heavily soiled and damaged but this vintage cover has been very lightly handled!In the pic of the close up text shot,there is a slight crease on the top edge and is not a tear.There are no rips/tears on the sleeve. Clipped first issue spine. Some creasing on front face with a little laminate lifting along spinal column edge. This sleeve is in wonderful condition . Excellent !
Original inner sleeve present with handling/playing text and polylining still intact. Excellent – with some creasing.
Labels
Excellent with several spiderlines but a gorgeous crimson hue showing no signs of fading of any kind! No mottling or peeling. Silver text is very clear and pronounced and a pleasure to view.
Audio
Excellent with the minimum of surface disturbance!Hint of static very occasional and there is no doubt that this is a rare beauty and a fine example of this monumental Stones classic. Will be hard pressed to locate better and must not be overlooked.
Vinyl
Thick cut, heavyweight giant with a mirror like sheen. Just the odd, very light surface/hairline visible which is barely noticed under its stunning, glass like surface. Ex+ visual with no scratches or ugly blemishes.
One of the best examples offered to you for a very long time. Sheer investment quality and will be treasured for many years to come. Enjoy the beauty of the vinyl!
