Description
An original export copy of OOOH's on the UK Decca label from Summer 1965. Matrix 2A/2A - 1st cut. Please note this export copy was released hot on the heals of the success of Satisfaction in summer 1965. It was most likely intended for sales into the European markets e.g. Scandinavia. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in the correct mono sleeve printed by Robert Stace. Also included is the correct Decca inner sleeve for the period. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete. We will transport in an anti-static inner for maximum protection.
Vinyl (Ex+) In super condition and has clearly only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a few light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ without reservation. If you're the kind of hifi-nut that has to insist on top quality audio as the premier reason for buying..then you need to seriously consider LP. I don't think I've heard a better copy. It's getting close on perfect...just stunning clear audio be that in the complex passages or quiet tracks. 'Play With Fire' sounds amazing...perfectly clearly..not a whisper of background. It really is a tour-de-force for audio and you will not find a better copy. It's also a perfect illustration of the STONES at the height of their powers. Interference is pretty much non-existent. I'll do my usual catch-all you might detect a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments. It really is that good....FINAL UPGRADE.
Cover (Vg+) Not quite up to the standard of the record, but more than respectable. And don't forget these early STONES covers are extremely difficult to find in top-level-condition. Lovely clean front cover which seems to have avoided a lot of the usual creasing you tend to find. Yes, there's a tiny amount of laminate lift in one or two spots - but this is way better than what usually surfaces. There's also a faint 'R' printed in the white box - very minor. The rear is always the problem area, but this example seems to have escaped the worst of the process. There's a bit of grubbiness over toward the opening, but overall a very respectable example. Edge wear is reasonably light and the spine is pretty much all intact. Text all legible and just a couple of tiny stress creases. Overall a very fine original export example .
Inner (Ex-) Little ageing. No splits.
