Description

You are  bidding on a 12" vinyl LP of The Rolling Stones album, Out Of Our Heads. I believe this may be a very rare copy. I am not an expert, but please read below. No doubt the vinyl collectors will know.

This is from  my own personal collection. It’s time to make some  space so sadly I am selling  my vinyl  collection. Please check out my other items  for sale.

Tracks:

Side 1 - Mercy, Mercy : Hitch Hike : The Last Time : That's How Strong My Love Is : Good Times : I'm All Right.

Side 2 - (I Can't Get No) Satisfaction : Cry To Me : The Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man : Play With Fire : The Spider And The Fly : One More Try.

I am not a  record dealer and I am not an expert at grading records. I will give as much  information as possible to assist in identifying particular albums and an  honest opinion as to condition.

For the vinyl collectors looking in,  the following information is available:

Label: Maroon (Dark Red) Decca label with "silverish" writing. I note the track "I'm All Right" as written on the cover is written as "I'm Alright" on the label.

Made in England - The Decca Record Co. Ltd.

Year: 1965

Catalogue No: LK 4725

I've looked on Wiki. There appears to have been a UK release and then a USA release. They had different covers. Apparently the tracks also varied? But, I couldn't find the catalogue number LK 4725. I then came across an American site "Home Of Records - Vinyl Collection" and have copied and pasted the following information from their site:

Condition:

Record:  I have played this album through. For an album that is now 48 years old it is in great condition. There are no jumps, skips or sticking. I didn't hear any loud clicks or scratch noises. My only comment (and this may be my turntable - it's not the most expensive equipment) is that when Mr Jagger sings the letter S in songs, to me it sounds "hissy" if that makes sense. It only happened on two or three of the tracks, most noticeable I thought on That's How Strong My Love Is. I don't know if it is because of age or whether this was normal on these mono recordings. Anyway, I feel it should be mentioned as I wouldn't want the winning bidder to be disappointed. I strive to be as honest as possible with my listings as you will see from my feedback.

I actually didn't play this album much, but it was given to me in the 1980's, so I don't know how much play it had prior to that.

Visually the vinyl looks very clean and glossy. It feels like early "heavy" vinyl. A few light finger marks on both sides. A couple of very light surface marks in track 2, side 2, but it didn't seem to affect the playing at all.

Cover: Single sleeve. Again, for 48 years old it's great. Front clean and glossy. A little discolouration down right hand side near opening. Evidence of a crease at top - approx. 4-5 cm diagonal, but lays flat now. Back has matt finish. Essentially clean, just a little bit of grubbiness to the white card around edges. Top and bottom seams, and spine amazingly show hardly any sign of storage wear. All writing on spine is clear and readable.

Inner sleeve: White paper - writing on one side - care of record and turntable info and......explaining what a stereophonic record is !!!!!! Oh how time have changed. This I remind you is a MONO version. The inner sleeve has discoloured with age and is almost a tan colour.

Compared with how others grade LP’s on eBay I would  say, bearing in mind it's age, this is easily VGC+ and have no doubt some would grade as EXC. As stated, my only negative comment would be the "hiss" on some of the "S" sounds, but this may be normal, or I need a better stylus!

If I have left anything out which would help you identify this album, please don't hesitate to ask. I will do my best to answer.

Describing  the condition of items is very subjective.(one man’s treasure is another man’s junk etc). I will always try to be as  honest as possible in describing the  items. I  would rather be honest from the outset, than  end up with a  disappointed winning  bidder. I buy  things on eBay as well and would expect the  same honesty from others.

Items will be dispatched by Royal Mail First Class  post. I will obtain a receipt for postage, but cannot accept responsibility for  items  not delivered. I understand “standard” first  class mail is insured for  items up to a  value of £20.00. If you would prefer  items insured for more, tracked,  special  delivery, recorded and “signed  for”  delivery, please contact me prior to paying. If my starting bid is over £20.00 I will include a postage price that will cover "Signed For" postage (this insures for £50) and if the starting bid or final bid is over £50 I will send via Special Delivery which I believe insures for  up to £500.00.

There is no  reserve on this item.

Winning  bidders must pay within three days of end of  auction or the item will be  relisted and  negative feedback left.

PayPal only  please.

International bidders MUST contact me please, prior to  bidding for postage costs. I will only ship to Europe and Worldwide via International signed for airmail and this can be a costly business.

Thank you for looking. Good luck and happy bidding.
