Description

Decca LK 4605.Very rare withdrawn first press of the self titled 1964 debut LP of the Rolling Stones. This is the pressing with Matrix numbers XARL 6271-1A and 6272-1A and with the short 2:52 min version of Tell Me.

I have tried to photo the matrix numbers to confirm.

Cover is excellent original flip back version with light creasing and slight discolouration to rear. Excellent.

Original inner is excellent.

Disc is visually VG. Well played and a fair few marks from removing from sleeve and some more noticeable scuffs and scratches. There is a scratch you can feel on side 1 track 2 which does sound but does not skip on my turntable.

The downside is a skip on the intro to track 1 side 1 (route 66). I cannot see the scratch that causes this and it may be just dirt or something which can be repaired carefully.

Overall   better than average copy of this very rare press offered at a fair price to reflect condition (top copies are over £1000).
