Up for auction is an original 1967 pressing of the Rolling Stones’ “At Their Satanic Majesties Request” LP from Australia. 

Decca TXL 103.

Australian 1967 pressing.

Label is black with unboxed Decca logo and the ffrr ear logo (full frequency range recording).

Matrix ARL-8126-T2-3K / ARL-8126-T2-2K stamped in deadwax. 

Cover is EXC condition glossy gatefold with vibrant colors. 

Australia had covers with and without the lenticular on the front - this one is without the lenticular.

Upper left and right corner bumps.

Some light creasing in a few places on the front.

No seam splits, no tears, no writing, no stickers or sticker residue.

Spine is clearly readable.

Australian copies did not have the custom inner sleeve – it has plain plastic inner sleeve. 

Record has hairlines, mostly superficial.  We do no usually play grade, but due to the rarity of the item, we checked it out and made notes:

• Whoever mastered it did a nice job – great, punchy sound throughout.
• Sing This All Together – Noise during intro with occasional ticks until the middle instrumental section
• Citadel – A couple of very light ticks
• In Another Land – A few light clicks during the song and some light noise during the snoring at the end.
• 2000 Man – no noise to note
• Sing This All Together (See What Happens) – Clicks during recorders in intro, and only a few light ticks once the song kicks in.  Some very light noise during the first part of the vocal section at the end.
• Side two has some light noise between songs
• She’s A Rainbow – Noise during intro section.  Light noise and a few ticks in quiet sections before and after the second chorus.
• Lantern, Gomper, 2000 Light Years From Home – light noise in quietest passages, a few ticks
• On With The Show – no noise to note
• Overall a fantastic sounding record but with some noticeable noise in some places.
