Description
THE ROLLING STONES - 'THEIR SATANIC MAJESTIES REQUEST'
This intriguing UK copy of their infamous psychedelic album dates from 1982 - however the cover bears an original 1967 manufactured 3D panel
Rumor is that a few boxes of original unused 3D pictures were found when cleaning out Decca's warehouse in the beginning of the 80's and they decided to use them on a set of just-pressed stereo LP's. Very few copies were made this way and this pressing exists mainly with regular non-3D covers
The disc bears blue & silver boxed Decca logo labels: TXS 103
Matrix numbers: ZAL 8126 9 X & ZAL 8127 8 X
Stamper codes: 420 114 & 420 121 Vinyl weight: 109g
Housed in a semi-gloss 'Robert Stace' printed stereo gatefold cover with original 3-D panel on the front
Complete with red & white 'smoke' design inner-sleeve & white poly-lined inner
CONDITION
Disc
Labels: MINT
A perfect pair with no wear to or around either centre hole.
Visual: NEAR MINT
Pritsine deep-gloss, factory-fresh playing surfaces which are 'as new' & unmarked in strong daylight with just a few barely visible, harmless wispy paper hairlines from the inner-sleeve visible directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp. Both sides of this factory-fresh copy lie 100% flat on the turntable when playing.
Sound Quality: MINT
The disc appears to be unplayed and my play-check confirms the sound quality to be flawless & wonderful throughout.
Cover: NEAR MINT
A spectacular example which retains all its colour and vibrancy throughout and is free from any significant or major wear.
The striking front panel is unworn & unfaded and the all-important 3-D panel is in perfect condition. The only trace of wear on the entire cover is a touch of shelfwear to the lower left corner, but all are unbumped and all opening edges are totally unworn. The rear panel is just as vivid and the front and is also in immaculate unworn condition.
Both seams are smooth & unstressed and the spine is clean, uncrushed and perfectly worded throughout.
Both Inner-sleeves: MINT
