The Rolling Stones - 'Sticky Fingers' album in excellent condition (Disk near mint). First press 1971.
This is a very rare gatefold sleeved edition (only a few hundred produced I believe) which opens up completely to reveal the Andy Warhol underpants photograph beneath (complete with the stamp reading 'Andy Warhol This photograph may not be..etc.) The inner pouch is open on two sides for easy insertion of the disc. (see photographs). The fully working zip on the front cover is in perfect operational condition. CATALOGUE NUMBER COC 59100

'T.M.C. Rolling Stones Records' is hand engraved on the run-off of this early album - later pressings had stamped lettering.
Album plays perfectly with minimum surface noise. The disc itself is excellent - almost mint - with a couple of very minor marks that you can hardly see. No scratches at all and a nice deep black lustre to the surfaces - you will not be disappointed!
The rare gatefold sleeve is in excellent condition with minimal corner wear and slight creasing around the fully working opening zipper. (see photos) The spine is unworn and clearly readable.
Inner plain white sleeve.
Labels are perfect with no visible spindle traces.

For those who have asked - this rare 'Gatefold' album cover is definitely not a standard sleeve that has 'come unstuck' It has very obviously never been glued together from the production factory. There is no trace of any adhesive or marking around the inside edges of the front cover or on the face edges of the Warhol 'underpants' photograph beneath which would be an obvious give-away. I've read various articles on the net referring to these 'ultra rare gatefold press error' copies, and I've seen a couple come up for auction - but there were not many produced before the more usual conventional 'top-opening only' cover appeared. If you Google 'Sticky Fingers' gate-fold album cover, there is a fair amount of info out there!
