Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers Promo

This is the promotional copy of the Rolling Stones’ “Sticky Fingers” U.S. album in stereo, catalog number COC 59100.  This is the slightly rarer version of the stereo promo in that when the labels were pressed, the printing machine ran out of red ink and the tongue logos to the left of the record hole are completely missing their red portions.  This rarity is documented in von Dieter Hoffman’s book “Rolling Stones, Das Weissbuch” and can be seen in the photo provided.   The cover has the round orange promotional sticker and is in VG condition.  The back of the cover has a few small creases in the lower corners and some small bb sized indentations in the center.  It looks like someone set the cover down on something bb size and moved the cover around causing the indentations.  The front cover is 90% clean and flat with some small creases in the lower right corner and some sort of either scotch tape or foil residue, 2 inches along the left side.  The front cover has separated from the inner portion of the cover (the part that is behind the zipper) and now opens like a gate fold cover.  It is easily repairable but I will not glue it back together and will let the winning bidder repair it his own way.  The spine is completely intact and in excellent condition.  The inner sleeve is VG with a small, 2 inch tear at Mick’s right elbow and about 2 inches of scotch tape residue at the bottom of the inner sleeve.  The bottom of the inner sleeve has a 9 inch split.  The record itself is in VG+ condition.  The vinyl on both sides is shiny with no writing or stains on either label.  The label on side 1 is very clean with a small almost unnoticeable spindle trail.  Side 1 has minor sleeve scuffs and a few, almost unnoticeable hairline scratches.  Side two’s label is also very clean with an almost unnoticeable spindle trail just to the left of the hole.  The vinyl on side 2 has a few more scuffs and minor scratches than side 1 but is still a good looking record.  The side 1 matrix number etched in the dead wax is ST-RS-712189 E.  The side 2 matrix number etched in the dead wax is ST-RS-712190 E.  This is your opportunity to get your hands on a collectible promo album with no reserve.
