Description
The Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers. 1971 release by Rolling Stones Records (COC 59100). This has the functional zipper cover and yes it still works perfectly! This album is the 1971 Record Club of America edition and was manufactured at the PR-Presswell pressing plant. It is an earlier press from 1971.
I had an internal debate as to whether to grade the sleeve VG or VG+ and usually that means I just pick the lower one. But the zipper works perfectly, the corners are sharp, the original shine is there and really there's no big issues. There is a crease in the bottom right front and some normal edgewear but no seam issues. The original sleeve is present and is a top/right opening style, there's a small 1/2 inch or so seam split developing on the bottom. I'll ship in an audiophile sleeve. Perhaps the biggest issue for me visually is the fading on the labels, but you can see for yourself in the pictures. I've gone with VG+ due to overall nature of condition.
The media is in really good shape. The vinyl very clean (it should be, I cleaned it many times!) and shows just some minor surface marks that don't impact play. I've rated the playback VG+ because it's just about perfect... you may experience a touch of static into the beginning of B3 for a minute or so and perhaps a touch of static in B5 for a few moments but that's all I could make out. This has been ultrasonically and hand cleaned several times to ensure the best condition possible.
Pricing is based off Discogs comps and a similar copy in my local record store at $55.
