Description
The Rolling Stones at their most psychedelic, presented in one of the coolest anniversary editions ever made for Their Satanic Majesties Request.
This deluxe 50th Anniversary set brings the album back with both stereo and mono LPs, matching stereo and mono (super audio) SACDs, the spectacular Michael Cooper lenticular 3-D cover image, and the elaborate multifoldout packaging that pays tribute to the original 1967 presentation. Each set was also individually (13921) hand-numbered, giving this edition genuine collector appeal beyond a standard anniversary reissue.
Musically, this is the Stones disappearing completely down the psychedelic rabbit hole—She’s a Rainbow, 2000 Light Years From Home, Citadel, The Lantern and one of the strangest, boldest albums in their catalog.
The lenticular artwork alone makes this thing a display piece, but having both mono and stereo versions gives collectors two distinctly different ways to hear the album.
IMPORTANT: The original 20-page anniversary booklet is not included with this copy. The set is being sold exactly as pictured.
