SKL 5025, release date 1969 delivered in beautiful stereo.
OPEN Decca label format. Unboxed Decca logo. Stunning labels with only a hint of playing activity . Only a faint spindle trace on the deep navy blue faces and a delight to view. Nr MINT-!!! Silver text unfaded and retains its metallic sheen .One of the finest examples of this rare label format and the best ever viewed .

Playing surfaces appear stunning under ordinary light conditions. Mirror like sheen . Glass like surfaces . On closer inspection under a strong light, 2 or 3 light surface marks/scratches are visible.
First issue , single flip back sleeve, laminated on front face. Laminate is very reflective and is the best ever viewed with an ultra smooth finish and in exceptionally clean condition. Slight nick on the laminate of front face, otherwise near perfect condition. Aperture on reverse cover to denote whether stereo/mono recording . U.K.Patents application credits. Very early first issue . Excellent+/Nr Mint- condition . Clipped spine solid and square . Hardly any feathering to opening edge . Clean and crisp and in lightly handled condition . Hardly any ring wear visible! Black typed name on reverse-hardly noticeable. Minor paint on lower edge which should be removable . No sticker. Upton Printing endorsed. Beautiful condition with immaculate spinal column .So rare to find in this sensational condition .

Complete with original blue inner sleeve. Near mint minus condition . NO seam splits . Fantastic! Just a little impression where vinyl has been stored over the years .
Audio
Mostly excellent audio and dips only once or twice to a very good ++ during the opening grooves and between tracks where there is a little surface detected. The couple of light scratches are hardly detected during playback and are drowned by the super loud cut engineering that only these first pressings can produce. Will not disappoint .
Assessed on my Project/Cambridge audio system on a high volume . The stereophonic perspective is quite sensational with an extensive layering effect and a wide range of dynamic sound. Tones are beautifully delivered!
What more can I say except this is a truly remarkable package, with a beautiful sleeve , MINT POSTER and the original blue inner sleeve. Superb vinyl surfaces with a staggering, mirror like sheen…. And blessed with an excellent audio , delivering each track in sensational style .These first stereo pressings have wider grooves than the later reissues and a thicker quality vinyl which produce a much deeper resonance which cannot be matched……
Could so easily be yours-becoming more difficult to locate and even harder to find better. Good luck if you decide to bid.
