Description

This is a very very rare record by Ron Geesin, made in April 1965, in a pub/club in North London. The music was improvised at the time and performed by Ron. The record was produced by Ron and the cover handmade by Ron too. The outside sleeve is in perfect condition and consists of a piece of brown card folded and stuck down, a picture of Ron pasted on the front and 'The Music' information typed on a piece of paper and stuck on the back. The record inside has two handmade typed labels, saying 'side 1' and 'side 2' with another typed label saying '45rpm' stuck on side one as well. There were only 100 copies of this record made which consists of four tracks; side 1 - 'Mr Mayor, stomp your foot' and 'Reminiscence', side two- 'March of the wine glasses' and 'Talking point'. The run out grooves have RRG 319 +1 on side one and RRG 320+ 1 on side two. The inner sleeve has been torn in the past and repaired with selotape which has now gone brown with age and has Ron's old address stamped in the upper right hand corner in red ink. This record has been in my possession since 1965 so I know where its been and how its been stored all these years, and it still sounds the same.
