You are bidding on two original shop bought VHS tapes of Ronnie Lane's Appeal For Arms Concert. These are original issues and not copies.

This was a concert held in 1983 at The Royal Albert Hall to support Ronnie Lane's Action for Research into Multiple Sclerosis charity. At that stage Ronnie was suffering from the disease, so he only comes on stage for one song at the end. The concert was issued on VHS in two parts. You are bidding on both parts, two VHS tapes in two separate VHS cases.  It brought together some real rock legends and features three of the greatest guitarists, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck, as well as Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman, Ray Cooper, Steve Winwood, Andy Fairweather-Low, Kenney Jones and more. As well as playing their own sets, they all assemble on stage at the end for the finale numbers. As the blurb states on the video case,  "This film is history".

There is a bit of chat, with the late, great and sadly missed, Ronnie Lane and some of the guest stars at the start, before the concert "kicks in". And there are some great performances. Stairway to Heaven, Tulsa Time and Layla were definitely stand out tracks for me.

These tapes were released by Videoform.

It is in the PAL format.

Catalogue numbers appear to be VFV 16 and VFV 17.

I have recently played through all my VHS tapes whilst transferring them to dvd.

Rarity : Rare. I occasionally see part 1 or part 2 on ebay, but rarely see both together.

Condition :  VGC. Both tapes play well. Please remember though, this is VHS picture and audio quality from the early 1980's, long before the dvd quality we have all become accustomed to. The picture was a little grainy, but I think it always was.

The condition of both cases is very good. There is also a fold out glossy photo and track list  See photograph above.  

There is no  reserve on this item.
