Description

Rare Cambodian record from Ros Serey Sothea. This EP was released by Heng Heng records in 1971. This is the *exact* record pictured on discogs, however some people have told me this may be a release from the 80s. This auction is for the exact record pictured.

Side A: ????????????? (No mercy)

Side B: ???????????????? (lamentation orphans)

The Khmer Rouge destroyed all records and music that represented individualism and unfortunately executed most musicians. Ros Serey Sothea unfortunately did not survive. Lots of this quite frankly amazing music has yet to be archived and it’s a crown jewel for any collection. Condition is as shown, There are some scratches on the record (I’ve shown the worst, I don’t grade records so you have to judge for yourself). The first image showing scratches is side A, the second Side B. Perfect to record it to archive and frame to display on your wall. I am sad to part with this, but I know the new owner obviously cares very much about this great historical lost music. Ros Serey Sothea is among the greats from this era like Sinn Sisamouth & Pen Ran. Thank you kindly for looking and good luck bidding.
