Description
Here's a Vocalion 78 by Rosa Henderson titled "Black Star Line" / "Barbadoes Blues" # 14825. I played it on my Victrola with a new needle and it plays through with a little background noise, but no cracks, skips, chips. It's not real loud, though. I find that these old amber discs have more drag to them and wilI stall out a little table top or portable wind-up machine. A regular floor model or electric machine doesn't have that problem. I don't know how to grade records, but I'm trying to learn. You can return if grading is not accurate. Nice labels. V or V+ Black Star Line, by the way, was a steamship line owned by a black man, Marcus Garvey, with an interesting history. Google it. Vivid black history.
