Description
The second image shows a very cool piece of music history! This is a 10-inch, 45rpm vinyl record from the Jukebox Jam Series, released by the Jazzman Record Co. in London.
The Jukebox Jam series is highly regarded by collectors for its high-quality reissues of obscure 1950s and 60s Rhythm & Blues, Jazz, and early Rock & Roll.
Record Details
Catalog Number: 10-001 (Released in 2011)
Format: 10" Vinyl, 45 RPM, Limited Edition
Key Tracks: This specific release is a "Baby Please Don't Go" special, featuring three different versions of the classic blues standard:
Rose Mitchell – The energetic R&B version (Side A).
Jo Ann Henderson – A soulful, swinging interpretation (Side B).
Big Maybelle – A rare, brooding live performance recorded at the 1958 Newport Jazz Festival (Side B).
Why this is special
The Sleeve: You have the version with the hand-screen-printed company sleeve. These were specially made to look like vintage "house bags" from the mid-century era.
The Artist Selection: The artists featured—Big Maybelle, Terry Timmons, Little Esther, and Dave Bartholomew—are legends of the "Jump Blues" and early R&B scene.
Collectibility: Since these were limited runs by Jazzman, they often hold their value well among R&B "diggers" and DJs.
