Rossini Overtures Gamba UK Decca SXL 2266
The London Symphony Orchestra conducted by Pierino Gamba performs Rossini Overtures. An English stereo pressing on the Decca Label (SXL 2266 stampers 2E/1E) the labels have a fatband, ffss logo, and Made in England by… at 10 o’clock and a groove. The record is of excellent appearance, and plays and sounds superb with a minimum of surface noise (a spectacular recording). The cover has a ring and creases in the laminate which has also lifted along the spine edge.
