Rossini Overtures Karajan UK Columbia SAX 2378
The Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Herbert von Karajan perform six Rossini Overtures including "William Tell", "La Gazza Ladra", "Semiramide" and "The Barber of Seville". An English stereo pressing on the Columbia Label (SAX 2378), the labels are blue/green with silver radio waves and border, and black stereophonic flash. The record, apart from superficial scuff on side two, is of excellent appearance, and plays and sounds superb with a minimum of surface noise. The cover has rubbed a little.
