Description
Rostropovich & Karajan with The Berlin -
Dvorak CELLO CONCERTO &
Tchaikovsky VARIATIONS ON A ROCOCO THEME -
DGG 139 044 -
German Pressing
This is a very fine Gunther Hermanns' recording that features Rostropovich's fine work on cello performing the Dvorak and Tchaikovsky in such a spirited manner, its audio capture was awarded the Grand Prix Du Disque in the year of its release.
Fact is, the virtuosity here is simply stunning.
Laminated cover is still within its original shrink wrap; stout German pressing inside is near mint, all ashine.
For other fine records, TAS picks and hard-to-finds, please see my complete list of offerings here on eBay.
