Roxy Music Siren LP Island UK 1st Press SUPER AUDIO [Ex+/Vg+]

Description

An original 1st press of SIREN on UK Island from '75. Matrix 5/4. Etching "Thoroughly Moderne & GM". Note how the labels exhibit a Blue Island 'I' one side and 'white - I' on the other. The White 'I's are the first design - and are effectively an error. The vinyl comes housed in an original Robor cover.
Vinyl (Ex+/Ex) In great condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of lightest marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with a couple of slight deviations. Intros and inbetweens are beautifully quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Those strings! Highly addictive. A couple of crackles here and there as the super fussy Sentimental starts up - but it goes clean quickly. A couple of isolated ticks in one spot per side. It is a super player.  Wow... Roxy really were good... [five albums in!]
Cover (Vg+) Nice clean surfaces with some slight surface wear in top sectors. Jerry's on the rocks again! Slightest edge wear in places,  nothing much. Small number written extreme top left on rear. Spine intact with the odd bit of wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
