Because of Paypal's policies, I am compelled to send items paid for by Paypal by a registered service.

This obviously costs more than standard services (significantly so with international mail), but buyers who use Paypal must pay for these services. (If you object to being forced to use a more expensive service, please tell Paypal.) If you use an alternative method of payment that I accept, then you have the choice between registered delivery and standard First Class / Airmail.

My preferred method of receiving payments is by www.moneybookers.com 

This is an instant payment service similar to Paypal, but they do not dictate how items are sent, which means that you do not need to pay for Recorded Delivery / International Signed For if you do not want to. If you upload funds from your bank account / Solo / Switch / Maestro (uploading from a credit card costs an extra 2.5%), then the fee is only 1% (up to a maximum of £0.40). If you want to pay this way, then knock 1% off the total that you pay (up to a maximum of £0.40). As it is an instant service, I can usually then post your item the same day.

I have discounted my postage prices for people who use payment methods other than Paypal!!

I always get a Certificate of Posting to prove that I have sent the item, once it leaves my hands I cannot accept any responsibility for it. Having said that, in five years of buying and selling on eBay, I have sent out over 600 items, and less than 1% of those have gone missing. My excellent feedback shows that I provide a top quality service for people who buy from me. You should decide whether the benefits of cheaper postage outweigh the risk of an item being untrackable.

POSTAGE & PACKAGING

The P&P price quoted above is for a card mailer with one stiffener (7"s/12"/LPs), or bubble pack envelope (CDs / DVDs) sent by the service that you choose. If you require extra packaging, I am quite happy to provide this at your cost - an extra 12" stiffener will cost £0.20. I almost always use brand new packaging, but sometimes I will use recycled packaging (if I've run out, or if the item is an unusual size or shape). This will offer the same protection as new packaging.

Over 99% of my sent items have arrived safely, and so I am confident that the packaging described above will protect items from all but the roughest treatment. However, ultimately the decision must be yours, and so I cannot accept any reponsibility for items damaged in the post.

Likewise, I cannot accept any responsibility for items that get lost in the post. I always get a Certificate of Posting to prove that I have sent the item. Recorded Delivery and International Signed For services are available.

If customs fees or other charges are incurred, they are the responsibility of the buyer.

PAYMENT

Payment must be received in UK£ within 7 days of the auction end by bank transfer / cheque / postal order / International Money Order or Paypal. I will consider payment in other currencies, but please email first, as there will usually be an extra charge for conversion. Non paying buyers will be reported to eBay and receive negative feedback.

FEEDBACK

So that I can keep my records up to date, I need to know that items that I have sent have arrived. The best way of letting me know this is to leave feedback on eBay.  If I've heard nothing three weeks after I've posted an item, I assume that it's arrived safely and destroy all records relating to that sale. There is then absolutely nothing that I can do after that time. In the unlikely event of there being a problem with something you have bought from me, please contact me as soon as possible, before leaving negative feedback, and I will do my best to resolve it.
