Description
This is Clef Records MG C-730, Roy Eldridge & Dizzy Gillespie Trumpet Battle a black trumpet label, deep groove, mono original issue of this classic session produced by Norman Granz. The record is in VG++ condition, showing only a light paper sleeve mark, which do not effect the play. The record plays quietly throughout, except for a minor bit of high-end break up on parts of the ballad medley. Remarkable for a piece this old. The beautiful Herman Leonard cover is excellent and intact. The labels are excellent as well. The records have been cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12. An excellent, collectors grade copy of this wonderful set. This is part of a large jazz collection I will be posting over the next few months. Please check our other listings as we discount shipping for multiple orders. International buyers, please wait for invoice before sending payment. I must weigh the completed package. Thanks for looking.
