Roy Orbison Sings Lonely and Blue
Roy Orbison
(1961)
Monument M 4002
Original Mono Pressing
VINYL is Excellent. A few hair-like scratches are visible under light. They are faint and very few. Side Two has the most visible. Track 3 and 4 on Side Two share a 1/2 inch light scratch. Some soft and nostalgic 'pops' can be briefly heard, especially in the dead wax between the two tracks. Again, not many. Over all, there really isn't much surface noise at all. This rare disc sounds wonderful and warm in Mono! Both sides maintain their original shines. The white and tan Monument labels are excellent on both sides. Side One's label has a small dot where the vinyl underneath is showing through. This is pictured above.
COVER is Excellent. Clean and vibrant colors are seen on the front. The back cover has little to no discoloration in it's white background. No split seams. Clean spine! The upper right side of the front shows some edge wear. This is also pictured above. The cover still has a nice glossy look. There is only a very slight case of ring wear after these fifty- five years.
This is a very sweet copy of an iconic American piece of vintage vinyl. It has long been one of my most prized discs in my entire collection.
The classic debut from Roy Orbison.
