Description
Rubber Soul by the Beatles.
PCS 3075
YEX 178 2 (1 RD)
YEX 179 2 (3 RR)
UK stereo first press from 1965 to the best of my knowledge. There were vastly out pressed by their mono counterparts & as such are quite difficult to find in decent condition.
Firstly, the record:
Visually superb.
The labels are good & clean with the exception of a small name tag on side B. There's some light spindle wear but nothing visible from any real distance.
Both playing surfaces are stunning with just an exceptionally light line or two on either side.
All in all, it looks like a seldom played & handled disk.
It's been professionally cleaned so it's nice and shiny. This has also optimised playback.
Play tested with no skips or jumps or much surface noise. The run ins are nice & quiet. Sounds upfront & punchy like a sixties stereo copy should.
Secondly, the sleeve:
More or less in line with the record. Has been nicely looked after & as such is unmolested with a good sharp spine. The colours are good & vibrant & the white back panel hasn't discoloured too much.
There's a little pen marking where an address has seemingly been crossed out & a sticker but you'll struggle to find a much nicer example I think.
Comes with superb original period Emitex inner. I've repaired a slight split on one side with acid free archive tape.
Further notes:
KT tax code on side A.
Generally a beautiful example of a rare Beatles record.
Please study all pictures before making an offer or bidding because they make up part of the description.
Offers welcome.
Plenty of other Beatles available including some yet to be listed.
I post promptly and securely second class to keep costs down and I sometimes use recycled packaging.
Polite disclaimer:
If you don't have the means to pay for a bid within 48 hours of sale then please let me know before bidding.
Also if you intend making an offer but you have further questions about the items for sale, then you should ask them *prior to making that offer. By making an offer you are committed to the sale should the retailer accept it as per eBay terms and conditions. Sorry to have to mention this but I've suffered some frankly rotten buying etiquette recently.
If you want digital playback then get a download or a CD.
Domestic or GSP buyers only please.
Check out my feedback, bid with confidence, & thanks for looking
