Yes, this is the same legendary Mohr/Layton 1956 recording of the Paganini so highly touted on TAS.  It is not the original release but instead a ½ speed mastered version.

When Rca went through so much criticism for the debacle of Dynaflex (floppy pressings that sounded shrill), Rca President Jack Pfeiffer decided enough is enough. The .5 Edition Series of records is the result, Jack Pfeiffer gathering master tapes of many Rca classics to 1/2 speed process them on high-quality heavy platters.

This is the ½ speed edition of the Rubinstein masterwork, here factory sealed.  (Note a small cover notch.)

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
