DESCRIPTION:
Up for sale is an absolute crown jewel of the classical vinyl world: an official factory German Test Pressing of the legendary Decca SXL 2197, "Carmen Fantaisie." Featuring the breathtaking, lightning-fast violin virtuosity of Ruggiero Ricci, accompanied by the London Symphony Orchestra under Pierino Gamba. This recording is universally revered by audiophiles worldwide as one of the finest, most dynamic, and most transparent violin recordings ever captured on tape.
This ultra-rare copy is the long out-of-print, highly sought-after 180g pure analogue reissue from Germany's Speakers Corner Records, pressed as a strictly limited factory Test Pressing. Mastered directly from the original analogue master tapes, it bypasses mass-production wear to deliver a jaw-dropping acoustic presence, razor-sharp transient response, and dead-silent backgrounds.
