Description
Here for sale is a very rare stickered promo copy of ‘Rui Da Silva - Touch Me’. Catalogue number KMT 004 on Kismet records.
This is the sought after version with the sample from ‘Spandau Ballet - Chant no.1’ which was withdrawn and changed before release because the sample was not cleared. This is the version that was played by all the big name DJ’s of the time who were lucky enough to receive the promo, and if you heard it out this was the version being played. Ironically it was also the version played on the radio to promote the record sales, when the release version you could eventually buy in the shops was markedly different.
I have owned this for around 20 years, and it came to me in a collection I was lucky enough to buy from a well known record label owner. It looked unplayed when I got it (as were a great many of the records in that collection) and it’s only had a few spins in a home setting since it came to me. I think you would be hard pressed to find a better copy anywhere.
