********************************* A magnificent original Australian original pressing of this 1976 debut effort from teenage all-girl US rock band fronted by Joan Jett and Lita Ford on guitars who made quite an impact on the growing punk-rock scene paving the way for many more successful female bands over the next few decades.
LINE-UP: Joan Jett (vocals, guitar); Cherie Currie (vocals, piano); Jackie Fox (vocals, bass); Sandy West (vocals, drums); Lita Ford (guitars).
This album is no frills rock and roll with attitude based around some pretty catchy riffs. The Runaways were something else ; unique, special, talented (for their age) and had that X factor about them that was hard to ignore.
