Description
"A Farewell to Kings" is the fifth studio album by Canadian rock band Rush, released on September 1st, 1977. The album was recorded at Rockfield Studios in Wales, and mixed at Advision Studios in London. "A Farewell to Kings" would become Rush's first US Gold-selling album, receiving the certification within two months of its release and was eventually certified Platinum. Geddy Lee originally wrote his bass lines on his acoustic bass. The birds heard on "A Farewell to Kings" and "Xanadu" were recorded outside near Rockfield Studios. Interestingly, the bass line in "Madrigral",with a single exception separating the two verses, never plays the same note twice in a row. The catalog # on the spine is: SRM-1-1184 and is on the Mercury Label. There is No Barcode. Note: The album is considered sealed, but it is "frayed" all along the spine..due to the age of the lp. The shrink is also coming apart at the opening of the lp about 6" long. Please see pics. There are some long, un-noticible creases along the back side. That is why the album is stored in a heavy vinyl covering to prevent the shrink from deteriorating further. It was also stored in a heavy duty anvil case since 2006 and comes from a smoke/pet free home. Shipped following business day as soon as payment is received.
