Description

Russ Freeman & Chet Baker “Quartet” 1957 first pressing, deep-groove label Pacific Jazz Records (# PJ 1232 mono) in a cardboard sleeve. The record grading is Very Good Plus (VG+). Side 1/track 3 has some light crackle on the piano intro. Side 2/track 2 also has some light crackle on the softer piano part. Otherwise, the album plays very well with no skips or scratches; a clean surface. The following is on the runout groove:

  • Side A): (stamped) PJ-680-D1 H

  • Side B): (stamped) PJ-681-D1 H

The outer case is Very Good (VG). The front cover is smooth with a gorgeous vibrant red color. The front & back covers are both clean with a little ring wear. There’s visible tape on the top seam in 3 areas that have held; there’s also visible tape on the bottom seam at the opening which, too, has held. There’s a ~2” split on the bottom seam at the spine. The spine is VG+ with just a few dings. (all reflected in the photos)  All sales final.

NOTE:  This album will ship with the inner sleeve & record OUTSIDE of the cover as to prevent any possible seam damage to the cover during shipment. Both the album cover and the inner sleeve & vinyl will be contained within a plastic protective sleeve inside of the shipping box with padding on top & bottom. This item will also be insured for the full sale value at my cost.
