Description

Amazing 1st press Dutch/Holland/Netherlands pressing of Ruth Copeland's debut album. (This album did not get a UK original release).
Front laminated sleeve. Colour printed on reverse - shows slight rubbing in places, but retains majority of its original colour and print. Any other examples I've seen of this, have extremely worn back covers.

The founding members of Invictus label-mates 'Parliament' (Osmium-era) and 'Funkadelic' (Westbound/Pye International era) back Ruth on this LP and her subsequent solo album 'I Am What I Am'.
For those who don't know, In addition to a couple of solo releases between 1970-1972 - Ruth Copeland sang and guested on the very first album by PARLIAMENT, called Osmium - and on the very first couple of FUNKADELIC records released by Pye/Westbound. She is/was a UK singer, from Co. Durham. Her voice was very loud, very bluesy and full of soul.  I read somewhere that she became later involved (married?) to Sly Stone, from Sly & The Family Stone.
