Description
In 2013 Artist Rutherford Chang created this extraordinary unofficial double gatefold vinyl album of the "Beatles - "White Album" by layering 100 vintage vinyl copies of the album that he'd collected. 2 vinyl LPS. Includes 24" × 24" poster featuring images of the individual covers used for the this project. This is a Double LP. Limited edition - the pressing was only 800 copies. His art installation, entitled "We Buy White Albums" was in New York in 2013 and was featured in a New York Times article. Mint condition. Sealed. I acquired this one directly from Mr. Chang in New York City at a 2013 event. This is a rare collectible work of art. The audio experience is mind boggling - a composite audio layering of 100 different vintage White Albums all playing at the same time - creating a dense, trippy, in and out of sync, amazingly wondrous result. George Martin would definitely flip out! Visit Chang's website to learn more about the project. Chang also has some audio available on the site. Give a listen. Then you'll know what this is all about. Standard postage to all US destinations is $5.00. PayPal please. Shipping discount for winners of multiple auctions. Good luck and thanks for bidding.
