Description
Released in June of 1978, 'Jazz' (BSK 3197) was Cooder's seventh studio album and up until that time, considered his most polished and cohesive album. Some have called it a "concept album" since the styles on it range from the earliest examples of "roots" jazz to the more commonly heard string and brass arrangements. There is even an element of "soul music" in some of the tracks that have vocals. A really wonderful album and a harbinger of Cooder's later more internationally recognized releases.
Cover: Excellent.....little to fault here....minor edge and corner wear....small (3mm)area of paper loss below at the back.....embossed lettering to the word "Jazz" on the front. Promo sticker affixed to front of jacket. A very nice example.
Original Printed Inner-Sleeve: Very Good.....if not for some clean seam splits would easily grade Excellent.
Record: Near Mint....beautiful shine to both sides....labels are near perfect. A fine copy and one that would be very hard to upgrade. Superb audio from start to finish.
