Description
"Prisoner: End of the World Edition" box set by Ryan Adams (former project Whiskeytown). This Blue Note pressing was created in a form where Adams really shines- 7" singles. This set is now OOP and was limited direct from the Pax-Am store. Box set has been opened and admired, but vinyl has never been played. Normally, when you open the front flaps and reveal the stage, a cheering noise emits and lights light up across the top. It appears that the battery is dead, as that did not happen when I opened it to take photos. There is a battery compartment in the top of the unit, and you should be able to open this up and replace it. Box is in excellent shape with only very light shelfwear, as it has been stored properly with plenty of breathing room on the shelf. Sold as is (including that the sound/light is not currently working on the box, but again, you should be able to replace the battery).
The artwork on each single sleeve is vibrant and interesting. The paper dolls are still on the original punch sheets in the matte black envelope (the idea is to punch them out and you can have them stand/perform on the stage). There is a record in the sleeve that's the background of the stage (you can see it half removed in one of the photos- you pull the tab on the top backdrop of the stage, it pulls forward, and the record slides out. You could swap out which 7" was in that slot if you'd like).
I'm a vinyl enthusiast and a collector, so this is in the best shape it can be. It has been stored in a temperature controlled room on a secure shelf. Although it has never been played, as it has been opened, it is still considered "used," and it is vinyl. There may be some pops, cracks, and imperfections in playback due to the nature of the medium and system variance. Records are clean, unplayed, and have been taken care of. It is still used vinyl and is sold as is.
