Description

1922 GENNETT release and a rare one described as the artist "S. ROMANO" -- as nearly as I can trace the history, it could be Russian PRINCE SERGE ROMANOVSKY who was a tenor in exile in Paris at the time -- Romanovsky did come to America around 1924 / 1925 and recorded an unreleased songs on VICTOR on Matrix 1925-05-07-04 -- in playing the record the singing and music is excellent but not quite to the level of contemporaries in my opinion -- the history is particularly difficult to trace as there is a current Russian tenor Sergey Romanovsky who crowds out the any possible google searches -- this GENNETT is in superb condition E++ and close to NM except for a few tiny handling scuffs 78 rpm 10" record -- songs are Mario's "TANTO PLACERE" and "L'AMERICANA"-- please see photos

This record will be securely packed in a new box with cardboard pads, bubble wrap and packing peanuts or other fillers.
