SABAH
RARE! ONE OF A KIND RECORD DISCOVERED!
In 1957, Sabah and her then husband, Violinist Anwar Muncie were on tour in New York. While in the City, this record was made at "Al-Chark"/ "Rashid Music" as the first (only?) recording under the SABAH RECORDING lable. (Record matrix is 1001 A/B)
The song is "Stanley ya Stanley" and is sung to the tune of "Ali Ya Ali". Stanley was a personal friend and they made the disc for him.
Only a handful of these were pressed and perhaps there is no more than a couple known copies of this in existence. It is unknown if any were actually sold in Albert Rashid's record store, or just given away to friends.
THE RECORD ITSELF IS IN VERY FINE - EXCELLENT CONDITION!
It's simply the perfect item for the ultimate Sabah Collector
Due to the uniqueness of this record - it will shipped priority mail Insured by itself and not combined with any other purchases. All Sales Final.
