LE SAHEL - BAMBA LP - SENEGAL - AFRO FUSION JAZZ LATIN

Original LP on MUSICLUB records LPS-MUS-001, made in 1975, mega rare!!!

This is the most important album in the history of Senegalese music. After this album the music in Senegal was never the same. SAHEL was the biggest band in DAKAR at that time and was the first to combine SALSA with SABAR (traditional Senegalese music) and this was the birth of Mbalax. IDRISSA DIOP on vocals, CHEIKH TALL on guitar and organ, THIERNO KOUATE on sax and many others. A fantastic version of Larry Harlow' s CARIDAD wih a killer organ solo. A real JEWEL!!!
