Description
This is a fine original U.K. pressing copy (A-1/B-1 matrix numbers) of the third LP by Australian group the Saints, released in 1978. Though coming out the same year as the group's punky second LP, the record marked a significant evolution in their sound. Here, the punk-soul hybrid they explored in songs like the single "Know Your Product" has become a more flexible soul-inflected indie rock, epitomized by the LP's leadoff track, "Swing for the Crime," and the single "Security." Unlike the group's first two LPs, Prehistoric Sounds was not released in the U.S. The jacket is close to pristine with a little light creasing along and wear on the bottom seam (M-). The disc is clean with a little light scuffing on side 2, and plays close to M- with occasional light surface noise (EX+). The record comes with a cardboard die-cut custom inner sleeve (M-).
I am in the process of selling off a large personal collection amassed over two decades. All discs have been stored in plastic lined inner sleeves separate from their jackets. The jackets have been stored in plastic sleeves. I have play graded (spot checked) discs except where otherwise noted.
