THE O'JAYS for DANTE!
LONELY DRIFTER/STAND IN FOR LOVE (Imperial #066): 15 UNPLAYED MINT GEM 45s!
Here's your custom listing, Dante!
Long before The O'Jays made their mark with hits like Love Train & Back Stabbers, they waxed a series of deep soul classics on Imperial Records. Although none of these mid-'60s singles made the Top 40, today they're avidly sought-after by the northern soul crowd.
Here's a scarce gold label Imperial issue that pairs up the A-sides of their 2 biggest 1960s 45s. Lonely Drifter is aptly titled; it sounds a lot like The Drifters & features seaside sound effects, giving The O'Jays a strong bid for inclusion in the "beach music" genre. The flip side is Stand In For Love, recorded live with a wildly-adoring female audience.
Sounds perfect on your turntable, jukebox...or put it in The Vault!
...don't miss it!
COMBINED SHIPPING DISCOUNT: $4.99 sends this single with delivery confirmation; 50 cents ships each additional 45.
