During the 50's and early 60's, the UK London label released demo copies of their catalogue as single sided discs and it's increasingly hard to find an original pairing of both the 'A' and 'B' side together. Eventually released as catalogue # HLU 8615, we have on offer the following 1958 pairing from SAM COOK (as spelt on label);
DISC 1: "THAT'S ALL I NEED TO KNOW" with Matrix # MSQ 2450 that remains in mint minus condition and plays superbly throughout with little trace of crackle on the lead-in and run-off groove and with the lightest of sleeve rubs. This copy has the 3-prong triangular centre intact and the label is clean with minimal spindle wear and light ring wear and with a small annotation in the form of the running time. The catalogue number has been applied by way of a rubber stamp (see picture scan 1).
DISC 2: "I DON'T WANT TO CRY" with Matrix # MSQ 2451 that remains in a strong excellent plus condition and plays perfectly throughout with a light trace of crackle on the lead-in and run-off groove and with light sleeve rubs. This copy has the 3-prong triangular centre intact and the label is clean with light spindle wear and minimal ring wear and with a small annotation in the form of the running time. The catalogue number has been applied by way of a rubber stamp (see picture scan 2).
Paired with a period buff paper sleeve that many demos were issued in at the time.
From my personal collection that I'm downsizing so why not check my other listings for more great sounds.
