Description
Another of this week's rarities. Brilliant copy of this highly sought after Sandie Shaw album. In fact, this THE Sandie Shaw album - the one all the collector's seek out. This is also the best copy, I've ever seen. The notoriously weak cover - it flips back to expose a centrefold where the record is accessible centre left not far right, usually features a split major seam and the front cover is usually creased and torn - well, apart from a tint split at the base of the spine, the centre seam is perfect as is the front cover. In fact, the only other criticism I have of the cover (rated NM-) is that the time for the title track has been crossed out and and a slightly shorter time written above it. It also has an RCA 'property of' stamp on the centrespread. The album features Sandie tackling songs as diverse as Led Zeppelin's Your Time Is Gonna Come, Dylan's Lay Lady Lay and a brilliant take on the Rolling Stones' Sympathy For The Devil. The vinyl is VG++ or better - light marks and the odd scuff only; there are a couple of stickers on one label pointing to an Australian composition (The Bee Gees' Sun In My Eyes). She has said it is her second favourite of all her albums. Brilliant stuff, great condition.
