 ****DETAILS :  Wow.. The Original Japanese Quad version of this Triple live 1974 elaborately packaged release. Maybe the MOST elaborately packaged album ever  at time it was released? For us this record was noted as the most expensive (new) record in the stores in the late 70s...right up there with the Japan release of Miles' Dark Magus and some other Japan Miles titles. between 45 and 55 bucks each brand new back then, when a regular US album was still 7 bucks.

this is the Original 1974 release and not the 1977 Japan reissue with a different obi

This live album was released in Japan in 1974, then Europe, Italy and New Zealand in 1975
It was not released in the USA til it's Cd issue in 1991
"The 1973 live recordings were mixed in 4-channel quadraphonic sound and released in the CBS Stereo Quadraphonic (SQ) matrix system. The SQ encoding makes it possible to format all 4 channels into a 2 channel stereo version, which is compatible with conventional stereo playback equipment. Some releases of this mix have been marked as "Quadraphonic" or "SQ" and some are not. However, all known releases of Lotus prior to 2017 use the same SQ encoded 2 channel recordings. The 4 channels can still be heard on modern equipment provided that the listener has a proper SQ decoder and 4 channel playback system."

The outer sleeve folds out into the shape of a giant H with the two connecting pieces meeting in the middle of the H
The first picture shows it in the Japanese plastic bag it came in. There was a large price tag on the bag that was removed before we got it. You can see it as the rectangle on lower left front corner of the bag

VINYL:   All vinyl is NM as are inner sleeves with no seam split

SLEEVE: Some edgewear as always associated with this packaging. Everything besides the outer sleeve in the extensive package is NM to NM-
